Social Graces

We are pleased to have Social Graces.......

Social Graces
by Rebecca Lewis
To be referred to as a “lady” is one of the highest compliments that can be bestowed upon any woman. A lady is not born. A lady is cultivated. The art of good manners is one that is sadly becoming a thing of the past-a terrible tragedy. Simply put, good manners is knowing how to handle yourself and how to treat others. Good manners and proper etiquette will set your child apart and will empower her to feel more confident in any social setting. Teaching your child good manners will develop her self esteem and teach her the value of excellence.
Rebecca has been the wife to her husband Tim for ten glorious years. She is also the mother to two precious little boys. Aside form surrounding herself with these three handsome men, she is active at her local church, her children’s schools and the community. An avid entertainer, Rebecca has long enjoyed the art of proper etiquette and eloquent speech. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University where she represented her school as Miss Northwestern Lady of the Bracelet 1994. Additionally, Rebecca was crowned Miss Shreveport 1995, Miss City of Roses 1993. Completing in pageants and learning how to present herself as a lady, poised and refined certainly prepared her for what she is doing today. Growing up, Rebecca had several years of manners training at a local etiquette school. Her wonderful memories of these years of manners training has spurred her desire to share the lost art of manners with the future ladies of our community.

“I love children, and I want to help these young girls learn how to love themselves and others. I want to teach these girls to be confident and classy, considerate and captivating. My desire for each young lady whop finishes my school is to feel more secure about themselves and more motivated to behave in a way that says to others, ‘I am not just a girl. I am a lady.’”

In this six week course your little lady will learn about:

Table manners
How to set a proper table
The magic word of manners
Questions not to ask
Proper telephone etiquette
Giving and receiving a compliment
Making introductions and keeping friends
Giving and receiving gifts
